Republic Windows Workers are in Bainport
The heroic workers of Republic Windows and Doors are in Bainport to talk with Sensata workers facing layoffs. Republic workers responded to sudden layoffs by occupying the factory, deep organizing and eventually setting up a worker-owned manufacturing facility that is thriving. Theirs is an inspiring story of resistance, hope and strength
Armando Robles, a Republic worker and now President of UE 1110 brought his family today and spoke with us about the importance of civil disobedience as a tactic for justice. We are inspired and excited to be here with Mr. Robles, his family and other former Republic workers who agitate us to stand up and stay standing.
We are watching Worker’s Republic about their struggle and they enjoy a roundtable conversation.
